That's why we exist

Because we always wanted to be different from others

exclusive more individual more high-quality

Our story began about 7 years ago when we were strolling through a small, cute "snuffelmarkt" (flea market) in the Netherlands and discovered an old leather briefcase from the 1950s. The bag was in dire need of restoration, but I was impressed by its simplicity and quality . So I wondered why there are hardly any classic, simple bags of any kind in excellent quality these days.

In the past, I often stood doubtfully in front of a bag when buying a handbag and thought:

"It would be perfect if it had - different straps/fewer zippers/simpler seams/better quality/etc ."

From these experiences, the idea was born that I would design my own bags and make them according to my ideas.

In the following year, I acquired knowledge of how to work with leather and various fabrics and began to produce my own bags and various accessories. All of this with the sole intention of using them for my own purposes.

Since we had a sweet Münsterländer named Frieda, over time I added accessories such as dog collars and leashes made of high-quality leather to my repertoire, as well as toys and sleeping places for pets.

When a friend had a baby, my creativity was immediately awakened and I made a cute cuddly toy out of terry cloth and organic cotton for little Mats, which is still his favorite after 4 years and has to go everywhere with him.

Many friends have asked me if I could make them such unique items . Everyone appreciates the exclusivity of the items, as the materials used are of the highest quality and unique.

Thus, our passion for natural, high-quality products gave rise to a business idea.

With our articles we would like to appeal to all those who have just as much passion for classic looks in outstanding quality and for whom a high level of ecological awareness is important.

We would be delighted if you would accompany us on our further journey and send us suggestions and feedback so that we can continually improve.

Thank you for your interest in Sillie
